Our rentals include a board, leash, PFD, safety whistle, waterproof watch, and a brief demonstration for the self-starters.  We require all renters to wear a PFD while paddling and have the leash attached.  Safety is important to us.  Renters must be 18 or older to sign a liability waiver.  Children 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult on the water.  Children under 10 must be on a board with someone 18 or older.  Renters have access to all of Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake.  We operate on a first come, first serve basis, meaning we don't take reservations.  This allows our renters already out to stay out as long as they'd like so everyone can enjoy as much time on the water as they'd like.  We always emphasize morning paddles as the lake is calm and quiet, wind/weather is minimal, and there are less boats on the water.  Mornings on Grand Lake are truly magical.

Everyone is a beginner at some point.

Our lesson is designed to provide a solid foundation and understanding of stand up paddle boarding for first-timers as well as those who would like a little coaching to improve their skills.   Expect to learn different kinds of strokes, sweeps, and stances and how they can maneuver your board.  We also teach you good safety practices to share with friends, family, and acquaintances as your paddling journey continues and grows.  We offer lessons every morning from 8 to 10a.m. for $80.  Expect to spend about 90 minutes on the water and about 30 minutes on the dock/ land.  We offer our lessons in the morning as the lake is calm, quiet, and a perfect learning environment.  Please call to set-up your lesson at least one day in advance so we can prepare for you.  We require a non-refundable deposit for our lessons.

Both Tyler and JT are certified through the American Canoe Association (ACA) as Level 2 SUP instructors.  Our 2 hour lesson is designed for beginners to provide main skills we want everyone to walk away with.  However, if you would like to take a full ACA Level 1(full day) or 2 (2 full days) course, or would like a more tailored plan to take your paddling to the next level; we'd love to help you out.

Grand Lake is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Colorado and has a long history that spans back thousands of years when Native Americans would spend their summers here.  Grand Lake is lined with beautiful homes, boat houses, and a lot of unique stories.

We love sharing the history of our town with our guests and have decided to offer tours in the mornings.  Our Grand Lake SUP Tour is a 2 hour tour starting at 8am that will navigate the entire shoreline at a leisurely pace with plenty of time to chat, learn, take photos, and take in the surrounding views with one of our staff.

The tour is $50 for two hours and we require a reservation and non-refundable deposit.
